David B. Wilks has practiced law in Northern Virginia and Prince William County for more than thirty years as a tax lawyer by training and education.

• Representing hundreds of families in their estate planning needs, ranging from prominent families to those of more modest wealth, blended families, non-traditional families and single individuals
• Representing hundreds of fiduciaries (Executors and Trustees) in the proper administration of trusts and estates, including fiduciary representation in litigation matters
• Consistently serving as fiduciary for estates and trusts in various levels of administration
• Counseling individuals and entities on the proper forms of business organization and the proper maintenance of such organizations once formed
• Representation in the sales and acquisition of businesses, from auto dealerships, restaurants, franchises to professional practices
• Served as Seller’s counsel in some of the largest real estate sales transactions in Prince William County, including the sale of a campus of more the fifteen commercial warehouses in the eastern end of Prince William County
• Served as Borrower’s counsel in numerous financing transactions ranging from the loans required to build IHOP restaurants, to the refinance of commercial shopping centers and office buildings
• Served as local tax counsel to some of the largest real estate sales and refinance transactions in PWC
